This site is designed to assist students with the implementation and expectations of a 1 to 1
netbook program.

Technology has featured strongly at our schools. The netbook program is the next logical step in
the use of technology.

From a technology-rich school learning environment, to a technology-rich personal learning
environment, the netbook provides a further useful tool in the pursuit of excellence in education
at Saint Agnes Parish Secondary schools.

The netbook is a valuable and expensive addition to the individual and school's learning
resources and as such it brings with it responsibilities.

This website has been prepared to outline these responsibilities and to inform you of the
procedures and processes in place if an issue arises.

For parents and students, we have included a fairly comprehensive and informative section on
internet safety, helpful hints and where you can go for more information and help.

Please review our policy on student netbooks.

There is also a frequently asked questions section which may help to answer any questions you
have. If you still have unanswered questions, feel free to complete our online response form. This
way we can constantly update this site by adding answers to questions which others may also find
helpful.

Although our initial focus is on the physical device, we should not forget that this is just another
tool to be used in teaching and learning. It is the pedagogical shift into a digital age that is driving

UPDATE - Sept. 2011

Information Nights for the rollout of netbooks
to Year 9 will be in Week 3 of Term 4.
(24th - 28th October)

Confirmed dates will appear in each schools'
newsletter. As part of the rollout process
parents will be asked to complete an
application form to borrow a school netbook.
